Today's Green Tip
When driving on the highway, try not to go over the speed of 55 miles per hour. The faster you drive the more fuel your vehicle burns per mile, and you are not as likely to get into an accident. per mile. The more gas your car burns, means more money and more greenhouse gases.
You burn 10% more fuel at 65 miles per hour than you do at 55 miles per hour, according to the American Council for an energy efficient economy. Then, at 70 miles per hour, you lose 17% of your fuel economy and at 75 miles per hour, you lose 25%! The numbers only get worse, the faster that you drive. So save money and energy by driving 55!
